Worktops - Part 2

SINTERED STONE

In the first part of this blog we talked about Granite and Quartz Worktops. In this blog, we’re going to cover Sintered Stone Worktops. Sintered Stone is also known and referred to as Ceramic or Porcelain. This is another Worktop material that we fabricate on-site in our state-of-the-art workshop here in West Sussex.

Sintered Stone is composed entirely of natural minerals. The minerals are transformed into a new material using the process known as “sintering”. This process uses intense heat, pressure and electricity to transform the minerals into a solid hard mass of a new material.

These new lightweight materials have numerous advantages and can be fabricated into large size format Worktops and Surfaces with different thicknesses.

ADVANTAGES

Resistant to scratching and abrasion • Resistant to high temperatures • Resistant to ice and thawing • High UV resistance • Resistant to stains • Easy to clean • Non-porous • Waterproof • Lightweight • Hygienic

Sintered Stone is extremely durable, versatile and available in a large range of colours. In addition to its attractive price point, Sintered Stone can be fabricated into large formats, which makes it a fabulous choice for Kitchen and Bathroom Worktops, as well as interior and exterior wall cladding.
